Microblading: Is It the Miracle Technique for Achieving Gorgeous Eyebrows?

Beautiful eyebrows are something nearly every woman wants.

The perfect brows frame the face and bring out the eyes.

Achieving great brows isn’t always easy, though.

Not only do you have to deal with the discomfort of tweezing and waxing, the maintenance schedule isn’t always ideal either.

Add to this the fact these eyebrow treatments don’t do anything to address the issue of brow thickness and it’s easy to see why people are looking for other options.

Microblading in Atlanta is one of those options.

But is it really the miracle so many people claim it to be?

Microblading: Why This Hot, New Eyebrow Trend Is Gaining Traction

Microblading is a form of permanent makeup artistry. Why is it gaining in popularity? Here are just a few reasons.

1. Are Your Brows Too Thin? Microblading Can Fix This

Quite a few people suffer from sparse eyebrows. This can happen for a number of reasons.

Some folks are just born with thin brows. Others have this issue because they’ve over-plucked their eyebrows in the past (hello, pencil-thin brows of the 90s!). Still others have conditions like:

  • Alopecia

  • Nutrient deficiencies

  • Thyroid disease

  • Anxiety disorders

  • Hormone disorders.

Microblading can make sparse eyebrows look full and lush.

2. Are Your Brows Too Light? Microblading Can Help

A lot of people with light hair tend to have light eyebrows as well.

Additionally, those who have fairly dark brows might have a mix of blonde and dark hairs. The lighter hairs can make it look like the person has thinner eyebrows than they actually have.

Microblading ink comes in a variety of shades, which can be used to match a person’s natural color.

This can even out sparse areas and make lighter brows look a bit darker and thicker.

3. Microblading Can Improve the Shape of Your Eyebrows

Some people have naturally well-shaped eyebrows. Others aren’t so fortunate.

This can be due to the natural hairline of their brows, or it can be due to over-plucking.

Microblading can improve the shape of the brow, which allows people who want the thick brow trend of the moment instead of the thin or severe shape trends which have gone by the wayside.

4. This Type of Permanent Makeup Is All Done by Hand

It’s easy to assume microblading is done just as all other permanent makeup procedures are done – with a tattoo machine.

But microblading is different. It’s all done by hand.

Using various hand tools, which allows creation of more precise and natural-looking strokes to fill in your brows.

The tools allow for more control to provide clients with the exact look they’re going for.

What to Expect During Your Microblading Appointment

Does the idea of getting permanent makeup, like microblading, seem a little daunting to you?

Don’t worry – you’re not alone.

Many clients started out excited yet apprehensive about the procedure. They were able to feel more confident when explained what would happen during an appointment.

Here’s some information with so you can feel confident about your decision to invest in microblading as well.

We’ll start with profiling.

During this phase, you will discuss what it is you’re looking for – just how dark and thick you want to go. You will also discuss any potential obstacles, like skin conditions or concerns you may have.

From there, we’ll draw on your eyebrows. This will ensure we are on the same page and provide a reliable outline to follow.

Next, we will use hand tools to gently insert ink/pigment into the epidermis, or top layer of the skin.

After this, we’ll clean up any excess ink and give you thorough after-care instructions.

Is Microblading the Right Eyebrow Treatment for Your Needs?

How do you know if you should invest in this cosmetic treatment or not?

The first thing you should consider is your skin. There are a number of reasons why I wouldn’t recommend microblading to some people. Those with sensitive skin, or skin issues like eczema, acne, or psoriasis should not have this procedure done.

And if you already have super thick, dark eyebrows, it’s likely you don’t need microblading.

However, if you have thin, sparse, or very fair brows, this may be a procedure you want to invest in.

Just think of it – with microblading, you don’t have to worry about using an eyebrow pencil every morning, or worrying about your eyebrow makeup running when you’re hot and sweaty.

Microblading can, over time, help you save a lot of time and money. And of course, it can help you achieve the gorgeous brows you want.
