Microblading and the Golden Ratio Method – What You Should Know

What does it take to get the perfect brow?

Believe it or not, it’s not all about a microblade technician’s artistic talent.

That’s definitely part of it, but the other part is made up of math.

That’s right – math.

In order to create the best-shaped brow for your face, a little geometry is needed. It’s called the

Golden Ratio method.

Creating the perfect brow means we leave you looking natural and symmetrical. And to get this symmetry, we need to do some measuring.

Why is symmetry so important?

Why Microblading Artists Are So Concerned with Symmetry

Microblading artists in Atlanta are just as concerned about your final brow look as you are. They want you to look your very best, and your eyebrows have a lot to do with this.

This is why we take such great care to make sure your eyebrows are as symmetrical as possible.

Granted, no one is completely symmetrical, but a brow artist can get very close to symmetry.

Why do humans care so much about symmetry? It’s because symmetry is important in nature. All around us, symmetrical items appeal to our sense of beauty.

The same is true of the human face. The more symmetrical it is, the more likely someone is to say it’s beautiful. This is not to say beauty can’t be found in imperfection – it absolutely can!

But having symmetrical eyebrows will make you look and feel great.

This is why we employ geometry – specifically, the Golden Ratio.

Microblading Precision: How the Golden Ratio Method Works

Believe it or not, the Golden Ratio isn’t something we made up. It’s an actual equation. We find the special number by dividing the brow line into two parts.

LiveScience.com describes it this way: “The Golden ratio is a special number found by dividing a line into two parts so that the longer part divided by the smaller part is also equal to the whole length divided by the longer part.”

This equation helps us determine the ideal length and thickness of our client’s brow. By having this information, we’re able to fill in and lengthen their brows in a way which looks beautifully natural.

People won’t look at you after your microblading appointment and wonder if you’ve drawn your brows in with a sharpie. Instead, they’ll look like you have a clean brow line with a beautiful shape.

Our goal is to add to your natural beauty – not detract from it. The Golden Ratio helps us to accomplish this.

Don’t Compare Yourself to Others: Your Eyebrows Should Look Great on YOU

Every few years, we hear about a new eyebrow trend. In the 80s, everyone wanted thick brows like Brooke Shields. In the 90s, everyone wanted thin, rounded brows like Drew Barrymore.

And as time continues on, more trends will pop up and more people will want to follow them.

Pictures of celebrities and other beautiful people sporting the trend will be posted all around social media, and you’ll probably want to give the brow look a try.

The important thing to remember is just because a trend is popular or looks good on quite a few people doesn’t mean it’s going to look good on everyone.

A lot of people who follow trends end up looking back at pictures of themselves and shaking their head and asking, “What was I thinking?”

We’ve all been there at one time or another.

What we need to keep in mind is what looks good on one person won’t necessarily look good on you and vice versa.

Stick with a look which is natural and symmetrical because this is what will enhance your own natural beauty.

Choosing a Microblading Artist: Don’t Trust Just Anyone with Your Brows

If you’re looking for a brow artist, make sure you look for one who is licensed. The state of Georgia requires training and licensure for anyone engaging in tattoo cosmetics like microblading.

In addition to having a license, you need to find out how the artist goes about the microblading procedure. If they don’t use the Golden Ratio, you should probably look elsewhere.

Your eyebrows are important and are a prominent part of your face. If you have poor quality work done, it’s not going to be easy to hide.

This is why it’s so important to make sure you do your homework first. This is one of the best ways to find an artist who will do an incredible job creating your perfect brows.
